A Miracle Mule Dream Wedding

Miracle Mule dream couple bassist Mark Petrella and Rhonda Lucci married on the banks of the bay in a service that included Mules singer Sandy Geller performing a song by Rhonda’s grandmother and a very rare vocal performance by Mark of the Marx Brothers’ classic, “Everyone Says I Love You.” All of the Mules were on hand to wish the happy couple well and perform a short set. Mark’s other three (!) bands were also represented. He and Rhonda first met at a show by Mark’s Italian band, the Don Giovannis, and one of their members officiated at the service. Mark’s last-Friday Cheeseboard Pizza Berkeley band, Big B and his Snakeoil Saviors, played a hot set and got the dancing going, followed by a mellower set from Mark’s Barbary Jazz Quartet. Our heartfelt congratulations to Mark & Rhonda! We wish them all the best — many long and happy years together on the mule train!
