They've only been open a week and a half, but the 5-star Yelp reviews are already pouring in.  Blazers is Novato's newest BBQ smokehouse and the Mules are happy to get our hoof in the door early and help them get their music program off the ground.  We'll be there twice in June (the 2nd & the 30th) and twice more later in the summer.

We haven't yet had a chance to sample the food ourselves, but folks are raving about the brisket ("just right"), the ribs ("first rate"), the house bourbon sauce ("not to be missed") and even the potato salad ("one of the best ever").

Blazers is at the old location for Jerry's Downtown BBQ, where we played a few times.  But rest assured that the new owners are two experienced restaurateurs who previously owned Novato's renowned Hilltop 1892 Restaurant for 10 years.  So that explains why the food is so good and should also mean that there will be no more snafus like the double-booking our last time at Jerry's.
